The NHS-HE Forum was set up in 2001 for IT and networking managers  from  both  the NHS and Higher  Education,  with  an interest  in achieving two-way communication between NHSNet (now replaced  by N3) and Janet. It is an informal group that  relies  on the influence, ideas and action  of its individual members  to make a difference. Objectives of  the  Forum

This is the usual annual Scotland version of the NHS-HE Forum which has run as an additional, separate event since 2006 to particularly focus on the NHS-HE connectivity and shared content challenges in Scotland. It last met in October 2012 and has been waiting on news on the Scotland Wide Area Network (SWAN) procurement which is set to replace N3 as the NHS network in Scotland. Ron MacDonald, Head of National Infrastructure Services at NHS National Services Scotland has agreed to be the key note speaker. Previous Scotland NHS-HE Forum details at:

This page with can be used to notify NHS sites that take clinical placement students and so will be affected by students' webmail services being switched from 'Live@Edu' to 'Office365 for Education'. Emma described the new Integrated Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) project that is being led by Health Education England in association with the Higher Education Academy (HEA). It is part of the response to the Better Training Better Care initiative responding to both the Temple report (Time for Training) and the Collins report (Foundation for Excellence).

This was the final published programme for the Information Governance Toolkit (IGT) Workshop that took on Friday 8th March 2013 at the University of Leeds. Unfortunately James Wood became ill on the day before and was unable to attend to give his keynote presentation. The workshop attendees were very grateful to Richard Corbridge for stepping in to the breach so admirably at an hour's notice.

The Information Governance arragements for the NHS adopt the same principles but are slightly different in approach between the NHS in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
