Group Manager
Janet ensures that the Janet community is kept up to date with networking developments by organising workshops and conferences to cover either general networking issues or more specific topics, for example, Wireless or IPv6. The annual events cover a number of different networking issues from strategy to technical support. Janet also organises events in conjunction with other organisations.

The NHS-HE Forum was set up in 2001 for IT and networking managers  from  both  the NHS and Higher  Education,  with  an interest  in achieving two-way communication between NHSNet (now replaced  by N3) and Janet. It is an informal group that  relies  on the influence, ideas and action  of its individual members  to make a difference.

Objectives of  the  Forum

  • To achieve two-way communication between NHS and HE networks, enabling secure anytime, anyplace, anywhere access by students and clinical teachers
  • To promote electronic access of medical journals and content  by students  and clinical teachers

This event is aimed at NHS-HE Forum members, plus anyone else with an interest. Target audience is Directors  of IT, IT Managers, network  leads, e-learning leads, Information governance leads etc in both Universities and the NHS.
