JANET wireless technology discussion e-mail list
The Jiscmail open public mailing list wireless-admin@wireless-admin.ac.uk was set up for the community to discuss wireless issues. Interested parties are invited to join. This continue to run after the closure of the WTAS service.
Service closure
As technologies have improved, the demand for this advisory service has decreased. It is important that we direct resources to those areas that are most needed by our community and so it has been decided that the service will be closing at the end of March 2015.
We'd like to thank Loughborough University, especially Matt Cook, Pranay Pancholi and Scott Armitage, for their advice and support over the years.
Over the next couple of months or so, Pranay Pancholi at Loughborough University will provide a few document guides e.g. tips on predictive planning using Ekahau and hints for optimising an existing wireless network. The documents will be added to this site once they're available. Existing documents will remain available on the web site but we won't be responding to new queries after that date.
