How can I tell who is in a given group, so that I can invite people I think might be interested, but not invite people who are already members?

I can see who are the recent joiners, but is it possible to see a full list of memos of a group?

Thanks
Jennie

Supplementary: one would also want to look over the membership of a group before deciding to join it (gauge technical level, for example)

Good idea, this is something that we have not yet done but thanks for the idea and we will add it in to our development backlog.

Thanks

Jennie,

If you go to the Group Homepage, you should see three tabs at the top of the content area - View, Edit, and Group. You will find these tabs at the top of the second white block. If you click on Group and then People you will be able to view and manage group membership

Hi Rob,

Do you have any indication on when will it be possible to 'invite' users to a group?
I can't see an easy way to do this from the group.

Many thanks,

Michael.

Michael,

The ability to invite existing users on the site to groups and blogs will be a part of the next release; at the moment there is no functionality in place to do this. If you need to add people to a group before the next release then I would suggest you email or private message them a link to the group and ask them to join by clicking the Subscribe to Group button.
